NEW TO ROAN STREET?
Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus. Below, we hope you will find a good idea of what to expect on your first visit to Roan Street.
SUNDAY MORNINGS
On Sunday mornings we meet in the main Sanctuary. Our service starts at 10:00 am. When you arrive, one of our Greeters will open the door for you, give you a bulletin and direct you to our sanctuary. People of all ages meet in the Sanctuary for a time of praise and worship with music with the exception of ages 1-5 who attend the nursery or junior church beginning at 10:00 am. When Pastor Jody comes to bring the Word, ages 6 -10 will be dismissed to Children's Church. There will be adults available to assist them on their way. Please feel free to ask any questions. WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
On Wednesday nights, the adults meet in the Sanctuary for worship with song before we begin our Bible Study. Our youth meet downstairs in the youth center where they will sing worship songs and have their own Bible study that equips them for their stage of life. Wednesday nights are a little more laid back here at Roan Street, but we are still here for the glory of God. We generally work through a book of the Bible, one verse at a time, until we finish the book. Going through the Bible this way helps us to keep it in context so we know what the Lord is saying to His church. Join us on Wednesday nights and learn from God's word!
